As technology types and complexity have increased for transportation during my 20+ years of recruiting, companies requiring specific software experience has also become a more frequent must have. I am not talking about for IT roles, but rather operations, maintenance, driver recruiting, safety, pricing and accounting positions are now frequently software specific. In today's electronic world of hiring and recruiting, being keyword searchable by AI, recruiters and HR is critical. Something as simple as having your software type listed may make all the difference in being found and hired for that next great career opportunity.
When executives think about creating a great corporate culture, they often envision a highly social and friendly atmosphere. But here’s the shocker: that culture is not the one with the highest employee engagement. And it’s not the corporate culture that your high performers like the best.
With the resurgence of COVID-19 infections across the United States, employers are facing growing pressure to ascertain whether their employees have contracted the virus. Temperature checks and symptoms screening, while helpful, will not identify employees who are asymptomatic and potentially contagious. This gap is critical because studies show that up to 45% of people infected with the virus do not show any symptoms.1 As a result, COVID-19 testing can be essential to remaining operational or reopening after a workplace outbreak.
