Kelly's Resume/Career Quick Tip of the Week
PROCESSES OR IT ENHANCEMENTS ADAPTED COMPANYWIDE ON RESUME: I often receive resumes that could use more or any accomplishments listed. What’s interesting is during a conversation how many times a candidate starts off with not recognizing things they have done. Usually after asking questions I am able to find positive items a candidate didn’t considered adding. You want to establish the ability to make an impact compared to the other candidates, you are a doer. Did you come up with a process that was implemented companywide? Perhaps you had a suggestion on how to improve software which was developed. Did you serve on a committee that focused on driving improvements? Maybe you were the person they sent to train and turnaround field operations. If you want to standout in a tight job market, highlight your ability to contribute to a company.
